It is Christmas and the Holiday season. This is the time of year we seem to look back and reflect on the year past and plan and ponder the year ahead. I believe that we all need to take time now, and all year long, and when you are looking at the week or month you have just had – to be grateful for all that has happened and for all that you have.
We live in a part of the world where the focus is always on the negative and terrible things in the world. We all get excited when there is a feel good story or something good to report. You know me – I always say: Be careful what you ask for ……………. You just might get it. Take time at the end of this year, and at the end of every week next year, and write down a list of all the things you have accomplished that week and the good things that have happened. If you do that each week you will begin to see that life is better than you think it is.
Start each day off with a positive moment. Read something positive, listen to some great music, take your dog for a walk (leave your phone at home), go to the gym – whatever you need to do to have a positive focus on your day.
I am truly grateful for my family and friends. I am grateful for my business because I love what I do. I am grateful for my wife Joy. I miss my dad everyday and talk to my Mum almost every week. I am grateful for the clients I have and I enjoy working with them and I am challenged by the work I get to do with them.
There is a great Chinese Proverb about a farmer. Have a watch of this animated two minute video. It is a great reminder for all of us on how we view what happens to us each day:http://www.karmatube.org/videos.php?id=5625
Have a great Christmas and Holiday season. My wish is that 2016 is a very healthy and prosperous year for you.
