Time to THINK!

When was the last time you took some time to just THINK?

I mean taking time to reflect, contemplate and “noodle” issues and ideas you have. Some people go for a walk, some sit quietly and others will stand at a window and look out to the distance. Whatever allows you to slow down and let the mental gymnastics stop and let you focus on the issue at hand.

That quiet time will allow you to come up with a different point of view, allows you to write down your thoughts and get some clarity and it allows you to prioritize what is most important for you to do next on this issue. In the past 5 years I have told clients that I need to get their sales team in a room for a day and slow everyone down long enough to figure out what is next and to then speed up again knowing we are doing the right things!
